NAMIC Vows to Achieve Effective Flood Reform in 2008

With the National Flood Insurance Program set to expire Sept. 30, ensuring the continuation of the program tops the 2008 agenda for NAMIC's Federal Affairs office. NAMIC is aggressively pursuing legislation adopted by the Senate Banking Committee, which would add needed reforms to the program. However, the association is vigorously opposing a provision in the House-passed legislation that would add wind coverage to the NFIP.
