Massachusetts: Supreme Court Extends Doctors' Duty of Care to Those Injured by Impaired Patients
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled recently in a 3-3 decision that a physician can be responsible to third parties who might be affected by the physician's failure to warn a patient about the side effects of a medication.
