Ohio: Effort to Overturn Tort Measure Falls Short

A petition drive to repeal SB 117, tort reform legislation controversially vetoed by Gov. Ted Strickland, came up short when supporters of the repeal failed to collect enough signatures. Roughly 241,000 signatures were needed to place the law on hold and allow voters to decide its fate in 2008.
