According to a recent study by Milliman Research, the pending bad faith law, R-67, would drive up insurance rates for consumers by more than $205 a year per household in the state of Washington. The Wisconsin-based research firm analyzed five other states with similar bad faith legislation and found that consumer's insurance rates increased between 3.5 percent and 7 percent annually.
