NAMIC Chairman Speaks Out Against Federal Intervention

Highlighting last week's activities on Capitol Hill was the appearance of NAMIC Chairman John A. Bykowski before a congressional panel looking into the insurance industry. In a hearing titled, "The Need for Insurance Regulatory Reform," the president and CEO of Appleton, Wis.-based SECURA Insurance told members of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises why it would be a mistake to impose further federal authority over the property/casualty insurance industry.
