NAMIC-opposed bad faith/UTPA bill, HB 3160, and PIP subrogation and UIM no set-off-to-coverage-limits bill, HB 2821A, passed out of the Senate Committee on General Government, Consumer and Small Business Protection. Both bills have been assigned to the Senate Rules Committee, most likely to allow the bill sponsor time to build legislative support for the floor vote on the bills.
NAMIC will be working with its members and industry colleagues to solidify legislative opposition to these insurance rate cost-driver bills and to secure key Democrat votes necessary to kill the bills.
