The Kansas Insurance Department has proposed several regulations to be heard on Nov. 28 in Topeka. The regulations include a proposal to amend the current CBIS regulation to require that renewal notices contain a disclosure on the insured's right to be rescored and a new regulation requiring third-party claim settlements in an amount of $5,000 or more be reported to the department.
NAMIC requests members review the proposed rulemaking and send their questions, comments, and concerns to us by Oct. 31 close of business. We will then take those remarks and prepare our statement for the hearing.
