National Flood Insurance Program Extended

As a follow up to Friday's NAMIC Alert, the Senate has passed the Defense appropriations bill. This bill is important to NAMIC members that write flood insurance because a two-month temporary extension of the NFIP is included in this legislation. The new program expiration date is Feb. 28, 2010. NAMIC will continue to push for the necessary reforms and a long term reauthorization of this important program.
