Arkansas HB1985 Passes Senate Transportation Committee, Goes to Full Senate Tomorrow

The Arkansas Senate Transportation Committee this morning passed HB1895, an Act to Prohibit the Imposition of an Accident Response Service Fee, without a dissenting vote. The bill, which ensures Arkansas citizens are not subject to double taxation for core government services, will move to the full Senate tomorrow for final passage.

Last week, the bill passed through the Arkansas House of Representatives on a vote of 87-7. NAMIC asked its members to contact their representatives asking them to vote “yes” on the bill.

As HB1985 goes to the full Senate tomorrow, NAMIC asks that members writing business in Arkansas call their senators and ask that they vote “yes” on the bill as well.

NAMIC thanks you for your involvement on this important issue. With your continued support and effort we can help to ensure this bill becomes law.
