Ready, Set, Implement

Last week the Senate passed the final version of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform bill, preparing the way for the president to sign it into law this week. Over the course of the last 22 months, NAMIC has been participating in the legislative debate that resulted in the 2,300 pages of new law. We have been fighting to ensure that the property/casualty insurance industry was protected from the, at times, irrational exuberance of lawmakers attempting to solve a problem. Now that the final bill has been passed, however, I can comfortably say that I am pleased with the work we have done to navigate through the dangerous political environment of the last couple of years. It was not always easy, nor was it always pretty – legislating is a difficult process. Unfortunately, so is implementation.

Access Denied

In order to access members-only content, you will need to make sure you that you are a NAMIC member and that you are currently logged into the website.

I AM A MEMBER. Why was my access denied?

	I am not logged into the website. In the upper right hand corner you will need to enter your NAMIC.org username and password.

	I forgot my username/password. In the upper right hand corner, select "Forgot Password?". After submitting the form, you will receive an email which contains your username, a temporary password, and a link to reset your password.

	I have never registered for NAMIC.org. In the upper right hand corner, select “CREATE ACCOUNT”. Please be aware that you will initially be logged into NAMIC.org as a non-member. It can take up to 1 business day to process a member access request. You will receive an email when your request has been approved. You will then need to log out of the website and log back in to view member content.

	I recently registered for NAMIC.org, but my status is “non-member”. It can take up to 1 business day to process your request for member access. Once you have received the welcome email from NAMIC, you will then need to log out of the website and log back in to update your access level. Please see the full process below.
