Take Action Today! Tell Your Congressmen to Repeal the New 1099 Requirements
We need your help to repeal an onerous burden on businesses. Under the new healthcare overhaul law, there are new Form 1099 reporting requirements that place additional burdens on all businesses. Beginning in 2012, any business that pays more than $600 per year to a single vendor for services or goods will be required to file a 1099 tax information report with the Internal Revenue Service. The provision was inserted into the healthcare bill as a way to raise an estimated $17 billion in new offsets.
