South Carolina: Construction Defects Bill Passes Senate Committee; Industry Welcomes New Director

Despite contact from NAMIC, the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, and the American Insurance Association, as well as letters and calls generated by member alerts, the South Carolina Senate Banking and Insurance Committee on Wednesday gave a favorable report to S 431, one of the bills filed to overturn the recent Crossmann decision regarding construction defects.
