Alabama: Coastal Insurance-Related Bills Discussed in House and Senate Committees
Liz Reynolds, NAMIC Southeast state affairs manager, visited with key legislators and testified on Alabama coastal insurance-related bills in both the House and Senate insurance committees last week. At the request of Senate Banking and Insurance Chair Sen. Slade Blackwell, she prepared a committee handout on the bills for his meeting as well as the House Insurance Committee meeting. In her testimony, Reynolds urged members to set aside legislation for now so that the governor’s study commission on coastal insurance would have the opportunity to review all ideas as a package.
