New York: Department Holds Initial Meeting of Homeowners Panel
The New York Insurance Department held the first meeting of the Temporary Panel on Homeowners Insurance Coverage on Oct. 13. The panel, chaired by Superintendent James Wrynn, was created by legislation passed in 2008 to address coastal market concerns. It is charged with finding ways to keep homeowners insurance available and affordable in coastal areas.
