South Carolina: House Subcommittee Hears Testimony on Construction Defect Coverage Bill
As NAMIC members doing business in South Carolina are aware from a recent Member Alert, House Labor, Commerce, and Industry Chairman Bill Sandifer scheduled three consecutive meetings of an ad-hoc subcommittee to hear testimony for and against SB 431, which would force insurance companies to extend coverage under a general liability policy to defective construction claims not otherwise intended to be covered.
