North Carolina: Workers’ Comp Reform on the Way to Governor

HB 709, also known as the Protect and Put North Carolina Back to Work bill, has passed the House and Senate and is on the way to Gov. Bev Perdue for her signature. The bill was amended significantly from its original version, but it “still contains needed workers comp system reforms supported by NAMIC,” said Liz Reynolds, NAMIC Southeast state affairs manager.
