Reinsurance Changes One Step Closer

The NAIC continues to plow forward on its changes to the regulation of reinsurance within the U.S. marketplace and appears to be one step closer to finalization. The debate regarding the use of collateral for reinsurance has been ongoing within the NAIC for nearly a decade, but the reduction of such requirements has appeared to be inevitable ever since it adopted its Reinsurance Regulatory Modernization Framework in 2008.
