Firefighters, Two Key New Jersey Dems Pledge Support for Building Code Bill
NAMIC and the BuildStrong Coalition got a boost April 24 from key players in Congress and the first responder community. In the House of Representatives, New Jersey Democrats Robert Andrews and Frank Pallone signed up as co-sponsors of H.R. 2069, the Safe Building Code Incentive Act, after meeting with NAMIC’s New Jersey members during their Congressional Contact Program visit. Andrews and Pallone offer validation of this bill’s common-sense approach and will be instrumental in recruiting more Democrats as co-sponsors.
