Louisiana: Bill to Restrict Underwriting and Rating When Tainted Drywall Present Passes Senate
Louisiana SB 595, which would prohibit an insurer from cancelling, non-renewing, or increasing rates on a policy due to the presence of drywall manufactured in the People’s Republic of China, was given a favorable report by a Senate committee and subsequently passed by the Senate on Monday evening.
