Senate Fails to Advance Financial Regulatory Reform Package

Yesterday, the Senate held a procedural vote to continue with debate on S. 3217, the Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2010. By a vote of 57-41, Democrats failed to garner the necessary 60 votes needed to continue. Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., joined all of the Republicans in voting against moving forward with debate on the legislation.
