Obama Signs Flood Insurance Stopgap; Focus Now on Long-Term Efforts

The House passed the Senate’s version of a 60-day extension of the National Flood Insurance Program on the final day before the program was set to expire, allowing President Obama to sign the measure into law and avoiding a lapse.
