A public hearing in the House Judiciary Committee will be held Thursday, March 25 on SB 76, Concerning Unreasonable Insurance Claims Settlement Practices, sponsored by Sen. Morgan Carroll, a trial attorney. This extremely contentious, anti-insurance legislation passed out of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee on a strict party line vote of 4-3, and then passed out of the Senate on third reading on a 20-14 vote.
