Washington: Excess Flood Insurance JUA Bills Pass Out of Senate, House Committees
SB 6240, a bill that grants the insurance commissioner the authority to establish a temporary excess flood insurance joint underwriting association, passed out of Senate Committee on Financial Institutions, Housing and Insurance Jan. 28 with several industry-requested amendments. HB 2560, the House companion bill, passed out of the House Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance with amendments.
