Hensarling Emerges as Favorite for Next House Financial Services Chairman
Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, has begun signaling a move to run for the chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee next year. The conservative Texas Republican currently serves as House Republican Conference Chairman, the No. 4 slot in GOP leadership, and would have to give up that spot to hold the gavel on the committee.
