Indianapolis (April 2, 2010) – The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) welcomed to the nation’s largest, most diverse national insurance trade association 15 new members during 2009 and three more from Jan. 1, 2010, through March 31, 2010. The companies cover a broad range of size and lines of business, including large national companies, single-state/regional companies, and single-line or small-market companies.

The significant direct written premium from the new members adds to the NAMIC membership’s overall association-leading market share and its dominance in both top 20 large-company representation and small-company membership. These new members reflect the existing diversity of the association, representing hundreds of farm mutual insurance companies and more than 300 property/casualty multiline insurance company groups.
