New York: Senate Panel to Hold Hearing on Department Consolidation Proposal
The Senate Insurance Committee and two other Senate committees are holding a hearing Monday to review departmental consolidation proposals put forward in the budget process by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, including the consolidation of the Insurance Department with the Banking Department and Consumer Protection Board, into a new Department of Financial Regulation.
