Tennessee Senate Wants to Alter Workers Comp Law
S7001, Ketron – R, will delay a law that went into effect Dec. 31 requiring all workers on a construction site to carry workers comp insurance. The bill will set the effectiveness of the law to Feb. 28, 2011. The delay will likely be used to give the Legislature time to rewrite the law rather than just provide an additional period of time before its enactment.
