*Due to changes in the tax law as of Jan. 1, 1994, meal costs included in registration fees are only 50 percent tax deductible. The cost of food functions included in the convention registration is $283.

Registration Fee Categories – which applies/what is included

The following Registration Categories are applicable to the NAMIC Convention:

Members

Delegate – PFMM or FMDC Certified – those members who have earned their PFMM or FMDC certifications are eligible to register at this discount. This is a full registration and includes attendance at all business and education sessions, the Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show.
Delegate – employees, directors or associates from any NAMIC member company. This is a full registration and includes attendance at all business and education sessions, the Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show.
Guests – refers to a spouse or guest of a registered delegate (not a coworker or associate within the industry). This registration includes the General Sessions, Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Guest Breakfast, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show.
Child – children younger than 18 of a registered delegate. This registration includes the General Sessions, Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Guest Breakfast, and the Wednesday Closing Celebration.
Two day rate – for those attendees from a primary insurance company in attendance at Monday and Tuesday events. This category includes attendance at the Monday and Tuesday General Sessions, Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show, concurrent educational sessions, and lunch on both days. This registration does not include tickets to the Chairman’s Reception on Sunday or the Wednesday Closing Celebration.

Non-members

Primary Insurance Company – employees, directors or associates from a non-member primary insurance company. This is a full registration and includes attendance at all business and education sessions, the Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show.
Reinsurer/ Non-exhibiting Vendors – employees, directors or associates from a non-member reinsurer or non-member vendor company, who are not exhibiting, and are not a sponsor at the convention. This is a full registration and includes attendance at all business and education sessions, the Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show. It will not include a pre-convention attendee registration lists.
Sponsors – employees, directors or associates from a non-member sponsor, who are not exhibiting. This is a full registration and includes attendance at all business and education sessions, the Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show.
Guests – refers to a spouse or guest of a registered attendee (not a coworker or associate within the industry). This registration includes the General Sessions, Chairman’s Reception, Monday and Tuesday lunches, the Guest Breakfast, the Wednesday Closing Celebration, and the Marketplace for Mutuals exhibit show.

Payment Options

NAMIC accepts check or credit card payments for your registration fees.

Registration Confirmation

A valid e-mail address for confirmation of your registration is required. If registering more than one person at a time, you will need to forward the confirmation e-mail to each delegate. If paying online with a credit card, you will receive your confirmation immediately after you submit your credit card payment. If mailing a check payment, a confirmation e-mail will be sent once NAMIC processes your payment. The confirmation e-mail includes a receipt, housing website, cancellation policy, and other event information.

Registration Cancellation/Refund Policy

All registration cancellations and transfers MUST be made in writing. Cancellations received on or before Aug. 23 are 100 percent refundable. After Aug. 23, a $25 processing fee will be deducted. Any refund due will be issued within 15 business days after receipt of the cancellation notice. No refunds are available after Sept. 6, so please plan accordingly. Mailed refund requests must be postmarked no later than September 6 for consideration. You may substitute a participant at no additional charge. Please note: Cancelling a convention registration with NAMIC does not cancel a hotel or tour reservation, those must be done separately with the respective parties.

PFMM at Convention

If you are a farm mutual manager looking to earn the Professional Farm Mutual Manager (PFMM) designation or maintain your active status, you can do so at the NAMIC Convention. The module offered at this year’s convention emphasizes the essential topic of Strategic Business Management. To receive credit, you must register for the PFMM courses in addition to registering for the convention. Registering for the PFMM courses will guarantee your seat at the sessions. First Time Attendees

We want to know if this is your first time to participate in the NAMIC Annual Convention so we can get to know you and provide you with some valuable networking opportunities. Don’t be shy, please indicate on your registration form if you are a first time attendee. We are excited to meet you!

Badges

Badges must be worn at all functions.

Suggested Attire

The suggested attire for the convention is business casual. The only exception is the Wednesday Closing Celebration where business or semi-formal attire is suggested.

Advanced Registration List

In order for your name to appear on the advanced registration list, your registration must be received by NAMIC no later than Aug. 23, 2013.

Registration Desk

For the convenience of attendees arriving early, NAMIC will have a registration desk open on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon to 6 p.m.

Wednesday Closing Celebration Ticket Exchange

NAMIC will conduct a ticket exchange for reserved seating at the Wednesday evening Closing Celebration. Within each book of tickets (delegate and guest) is a ticket to be exchanged for a reserved seat. Please bring this ticket and those of any others in your group to the NAMIC Registration Desk at the following times:
