Oregon: Contact Members of Senate Committee Today to Oppose 1st and 3rd Party Bad Faith Amendment

SB 719, a bill that would amend the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act to include insurance (workers’ compensation is expressly excluded) in the definition of “real estate, goods or services” for purposes of the UTPA and makes unfair claims settlement practices an unlawful trade practice, is scheduled for public hearing before the Senate General Government, Consumer and Small Business Protection Committee on March 16 at 1 p.m. (PDT).
