North Carolina Senate Holds Hearing on Rate Bureau’s Future; NAMIC to Testify

North Carolina’s Senate Insurance Committee is holding a hearing this morning on SB 490, which would eliminate the Rate Bureau from the auto insurance system and establish a system that more fairly and accurately matches rate to risk.

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), a member of the FAIR NC Coalition, is scheduled to testify during the hearing in support of the bill. Click here for the entire text of the testimony.
