Arizona: Attorney Fees Award Amendment Pulled by Sponsor After NAMIC, Others Express Concerns About Its Effect on Frivolous Lawsuits

The legislative sponsor of SB 1404, a bill that would have amended current law to allow an award of attorney fees to the prevailing party in any civil action, met with the insurance industry and interested stakeholders April 14 and agreed to pull his bill and study the issue over the summer after the Legislature adjourns.
