NAMIC Requests Georgia Member Companies to Contact Governor Asking for Veto of Insolvency Pool Bill

NAMIC sent a letter to Gov. Sonny Perdue on Thursday requesting that he veto HB 1364, Georgia Insurers Insolvency Pool, which allows insureds of insolvent captive workers’ compensation companies to benefit from the insolvency pool. The final agreement passed prior to the end of the session Thursday night, and the bill is now on the governor’s desk.
