Minnesota: Bill Curbing Storm-Chaser Abuses Passes Legislature

NAMIC's Minnesota state trade advocacy partner, the Insurance Federation of Minnesota, reports that Senate File 1886 is on its way to the governor. The bill prohibits a residential contactor from promising or advertising that it rebate or pay all or part of an insured’s deductible. The bill also allows consumers 72 hours to cancel a repair contract after the insured learns that the claim was denied.
