Montana: Bill Limiting Liability for Non-Economic Loss Arising Out of Operation of Motor Vehicle Passes as Amended

The Senate Highways and Transportation Committee held a public hearing Jan. 25 on SB 111, a bill that would restrict those plaintiffs who disregard important motor vehicle safety and financial responsibility laws from being able to pursue a claim for damages associated with alleged past and future non-economic damages. The bill passed out of committee, as amended, on a 7-5 vote.
