Financial Services Regulatory Reform Legislation Clears First Senate Hurdle

Passing along a party line vote, the almost 1,400-page comprehensive regulatory reform legislation introduced by Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., on Monday of last week was cleared out of the Senate Banking Committee last night. The bill is now headed for a floor vote, something the Obama Administration has been calling for.
