Countdown to the 2010 Midterm Elections: Mid-Atlantic Region

With a number of congressional seats at play, the battleground has become a main focus for both parties at the congressional level in both the House and the Senate. Many of the races in this region will be center stage on election night as the first indicators of how the night may go. Look to Kentucky and Indiana in particular to see if, in fact, there will be a wave of change. Several key state races have emerged in the 10-state Mid-Atlantic region, including open gubernatorial races in the region’s three largest states. Republicans are likely to make their biggest gains this year in this region.
