Colorado: Please Contact Senate Democrats Asking Them to VOTE NO on SB 76 –Pro-Trial Lawyer Legislation Facilitating the Frivolous Lawsuits, Increase Abuse of the Civil Discovery Process
The trial lawyer lobby prevailed Feb. 11 in a battle over SB 76, Concerning Unreasonable Insurance Claims Settlement Practices, sponsored by Sen. Morgan Carroll, who is also a trial lawyer. The bill passed out of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee on a strict party-line vote of 4-3. The bill has been scheduled for a Senate floor vote and will be heard any time now.
