Arkansas: Team Effort Stops Bill to Allow Public Adjusters

As reported in last week’s Advocacy Update, the sponsor of Arkansas Senate Bill 378, (http://www.arkleg.state.ar.us/assembly/2011/2011R/Pages/BillInformation.aspx?measureno=SB378) which would have allowed public adjusters to operate in the state, failed in her second attempt to have the Senate approve the bill. Rather than trying for a third vote, Sen. Joyce Elliott moved SB 378 to interim study, making it effectively dead for the session, which adjourned Friday.
