New York: Lawsky Describes Origins, Status of Departmental Consolidation
In his first address to an audience of property/casualty insurance professionals, newly confirmed Superintendent of Financial Services Benjamin Lawsky last week described the origins of the concept to consolidate the former Insurance Department and Banking Department and offered some insight into his goals and perspective as a regulator.
