National Flood Insurance Program Expires Again
Last week, the House passed legislation to extend a package of existing programs, including the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which was set to expire on May 31, 2010. While the House sent legislation to extend these programs to the Senate prior to the deadline, the Senate had recessed for Memorial Day and was not there to on the House legislation, effectively allowing them to expire.
