Countdown to the 2010 Midterm Elections: Southeast Region
The Southeast is shaping up to look as it did pre-2006. Republicans have a shot at taking back a number of congressional seats previously held in this conservative sector of the states. While Florida will always remain a battleground, states historically Republican turf are leaning in that direction once again, with some even redefining the “Dixiecrat” term as "Republican."
