Colorado: House Local Government Committee Postpones Indefinitely HB 1057, Homeowner’s Insurance Policies

The Colorado House Local Government Committee last week postponed indefinitely, on a 6-5 vote, HB 1057, which posed a serious threat to insurance consumer choice and insurance fraud prevention. The bill would have also imposed fundamental changes to how homeowner’s insurance is underwritten, sold, and adjusted, and could have adversely impacted the affordability and availability of homeowner’s insurance in the state.
