Montana: Governor Vetoes Tort Reform Bill Limiting Liability for Auto Accident Non-Economic Damages Claims

Gov. Brian Schweitzer vetoed on April 13 SB 111, as amended, a bill that would have restricted plaintiffs who disregard important motor vehicle safety and financial responsibility laws from being able to pursue a claim for damages associated with alleged past and future non-economic damages.
