Oregon: Bad Faith Legislation Dies in House Judiciary Committee

The insurance industry, consumers, and the business community dodged a legislative bullet last week when HB 4136, the first- and third-party bad faith bill died in committee. The bill was never scheduled for executive action, so testimony was taken but the bill was not voted on by the committee.
