Flood Program Temporarily Reauthorized
After being on hiatus for 2 days, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) has once again been temporarily reauthorized. Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky., had put a hold on legislation that contained temporary extensions of highway funding programs, unemployment benefits, Medicare payments for physicians, satellite television to rural Americans, and importantly, an extension of the NFIP.
