Under the new healthcare overhaul law, if your business pays more than $600 to any vendor in a single year, you will be required to file a 1099 tax information report with the Internal Revenue Service related to that expense beginning in 2012. As it is written, commercial and certain personal lines customers will have to file a Form 1099 with their insurer and the IRS for premiums that meet that threshold. This requirement was inserted into the healthcare bill as a way to raise an estimated $17 billion in new offsets. We need your help to repeal this today!
