Missouri’s Reinterpretation of Insurance Tax Credits Will Increase Tax Burden
NAMIC’s state trade association advocacy partner, the Missouri Insurance Coalition, reports that the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions & Professional Registration has revised its tax forms so that firms domiciled outside of Missouri will lose the value of certain premium tax credits. In addition, this action could trigger retaliation in other states upon Missouri domestics.
