North Carolina: Rate Modernization Discussion Moves to Study Committee
The North Carolina Senate Insurance Committee voted Wednesday to send SB 490, which would remove the Rate Bureau from the auto insurance rate filing process and establish a flex-rating system, and SB 477, which would keep the Rate Bureau but allow for “upward deviations,” to an interim study committee.
