Colorado: Civil-Justice-League-Sponsored Legislation Preventing Awards of ‘Phantom Damages’ in Civil Judgments to be Heard in House Judiciary Committee Any Day
Rep. Bob Gardner’s bill, HB 1106, is designed to fix a recent anti-insurance consumer, anti-business, anti-tort reform Colorado Supreme Court case, Volunteers of America v. Gardenswartz, frequently referred to as the Tucker case, and restore common sense and reasonableness to the calculation of civil damages.
