Goodnight Irene

After relatively calm weather the past couple of months, things have a way of changing rather quickly. The little blip on the radar screen spotted last week in the Caribbean soon became a major problem. That blip turned into the first-of-the-season hurricane that slammed its way through the Bahamas by midweek and became the first hurricane to make U.S. landfall in three years.
